EMF Detector - Metal ScannerThese Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of EMF Detector - Metal Scanner (the "App") provided by TechTrace Vault. By using the App, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. What the App provides
The App displays magnetometer readings reported by a supported phone or tablet. Features may include an EMF meter, a baseline-based metal scanner, calibration, live graphs, scan statistics, local scan history, scan comparison, CSV export, sharing, unit settings, and app guidance.
2. Device and sensor requirements
A working magnetometer is required. Some devices do not include this sensor, expose it reliably, or report readings with the same range, frequency, or accuracy. Device cases, magnets, speakers, motors, wiring, nearby electronics, movement, temperature, and calibration can affect results.
3. Reference tool only
The App does not measure ionizing radiation, radio-frequency or Wi-Fi exposure, electric fields, voltage, current, wiring safety, or health risk. A displayed label such as Normal, Elevated, Strong, Danger, or Detected describes an app threshold, not a certified safety assessment.
4. Metal detection limitations
The Metal Scanner mode detects changes in magnetic readings from a calibrated baseline. It does not identify every metal and cannot determine an object's composition, depth, size, value, safety, or exact location.
Iron, steel, magnets, powered wiring, and electronics may create clearer changes. Aluminium, copper, gold, and some stainless steels may create little or no detectable response. A reading does not prove that metal, wiring, or a hazardous object is present or absent.
5. Calibration and responsible use
Follow the in-app guidance, keep the device away from nearby magnetic sources during calibration, and move it slowly. Never enter restricted areas, open electrical equipment, damage property, or expose yourself or others to danger to obtain a reading. Use appropriate professional equipment and qualified assistance for important inspections.
6. Saved scans and exports
Saved scan names, readings, samples, statistics, and history are stored locally on your device. You are responsible for the information you enter, the scans you keep, and the recipients you choose when sharing or exporting data. Exported results remain subject to the limitations in these Terms.
7. Advertising and third-party services
The App may use Google Mobile Ads, Firebase, Google Play services, sharing services, and other third-party components. Ads may include banner, native, interstitial, rewarded, or app-open formats. Rewarded ads are optional and may provide a temporary in-app benefit. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies.
8. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the App; interfere with its operation or security; attempt unauthorized access; manipulate advertising or reward systems; use automated methods to abuse services; reverse engineer the App except where law expressly permits it; use it to violate privacy or property rights; or use it in violation of applicable law.
9. Intellectual property
The App, branding, design, software, and related materials are owned by TechTrace Vault or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the App for its intended purpose.
10. Availability, updates, and changes
We may update, add, limit, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain security, comply with law, improve the App, or reflect third-party service changes. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every device, continued access to any ad-supported benefit, or error-free readings.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App and its readings are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of accuracy, reliability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, availability, or non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TechTrace Vault will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages; loss of data, property, profit, business, or opportunity; injury arising from unsafe use; or decisions made from App readings. Our total liability for claims relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid to use the App during the twelve months before the claim, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
13. Ending use
You may stop using the App at any time and uninstall it through your device. We may restrict access to online configuration, advertising, or update services when reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risks, legal requirements, or violations of these Terms.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the App, our practices, or legal requirements change. Updated Terms will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date. Continued use after the updated Terms take effect means you accept them where permitted by law.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts with appropriate jurisdiction in India will have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live.
