EMF Detector - Metal ScannerThis Privacy Policy explains how TechTrace Vault ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use EMF Detector - Metal Scanner (the "App"). By using the App, you acknowledge the practices described here.
1. Information processed by the App
Magnetic sensor readings
The App reads magnetometer values reported by your device to display magnetic-field strength, changes from a calibrated baseline, signal levels, axis readings, graphs, and scan statistics. These readings are processed on your device for the scanner features.
Saved scan information
If you save a scan, the App stores information such as the scan name, mode, date and time, current, peak, average and minimum readings, baseline and change values, status, sensitivity, detection count, duration, calibration quality, noise level, and sampled trend values.
Preferences
The App stores settings such as theme, magnetic unit, sampling rate, sound, vibration, screen-awake preference, calibration choices, onboarding status, and ad-free session state.
2. Where scan data is stored
Saved scans and preferences are stored locally on your device. The current App does not upload your saved scan history to Firebase or a CrezTech account. Local data remains until you delete it from the App, clear the App's storage, or remove it through your device's app-management controls.
3. Device permissions and sensors
The core scanner uses the device magnetometer. On supported Android devices, reading this sensor does not require a sensitive runtime permission. The App uses internet and network-state access for advertising, app configuration, and update information.
The current Android version does not request camera, microphone, precise or approximate location, contacts, phone, or storage permission for core scanning.
4. Firebase app configuration
The App uses Firebase services to retrieve app configuration such as update messages and advertising settings. Firebase and its infrastructure may process technical information such as IP address, app instance, device information, request timestamps, and diagnostics needed to deliver and secure those services. Saved scan history is not intentionally sent with these configuration requests.
5. Advertising
The App may use Google Mobile Ads to display banner, native, interstitial, rewarded, or app-open advertisements when enabled. Google and advertising partners may process advertising identifiers, IP address, device and app information, approximate location inferred from IP, ad interactions, and diagnostic data according to their own policies and your device or account settings.
Rewarded ads are optional. If you choose to watch one, the App may grant a temporary ad-free session after the ad provider confirms completion.
6. Sharing and exporting
When you choose Share Scan or Export CSV, the App creates the requested text or file on your device and opens the system share sheet. Information is sent only to the app, person, or service you select. The recipient's privacy practices apply after you share it.
7. How we use information
Information is used to operate the scanner and graph, calibrate readings, save and compare local scans, remember preferences, export data at your request, deliver app configuration and updates, display and measure advertisements, troubleshoot failures, protect services, and comply with applicable law.
8. Third-party services
The App uses or may interact with Google Mobile Ads, Firebase Core, Cloud Firestore, Google Play services, your device's sharing services, and the app marketplace. Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
9. Your choices
- Delete individual scans or clear all scan history from the History screen.
- Choose what to share and which recipient receives an export.
- Manage advertising controls through your Google account and device settings where available.
- Stop all future processing by uninstalling the App.
10. Data retention
Locally saved scans and preferences are retained until you delete them or clear the App's data. Third-party providers retain technical and advertising information according to their own retention policies and legal obligations.
11. Data sales
We do not sell your saved magnetic readings or scan history. Advertising providers may process information for ad delivery and measurement as described above.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the App. Local data is also protected by your device security. No device, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
13. Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable minimum age.
14. International processing
Google, Firebase, advertising providers, and their service providers may process technical information in India, the United States, and other countries where they operate, subject to their safeguards and applicable law.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the App, its services, or legal requirements change. The latest version will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date.
